I was experimenting with different forms, materials, techniques, colors. I was trying to find "perfect" combination of natural plants and artificially made vase.

Mango copper alabaster

The Bud, flower vases consist of two three vases arrange to compliment each other. The pieces was hand turned from a highly figured piece of mango wood assembled on copper pipe. The piece was colored progressively in different colors to reveal a beautiful grain and unbelievable visual effect. I put the vase on alabaster base. Alabaster makes the vase sturdy and giving beautiful accent to the wood.

Maple alabaster

Vases were hand turned from a highly figured piece of maple and cocobolo. I put the vases on alabaster base. Alabaster makes the vase sturdy and giving beautiful accent to the wood.
The piece was finished with shellac and lacquer.
